The Unholy 6 Ps: Which One Keeps You Down?
What does it mean to be in the world but not of the world? If we understand this concept generally, how can we live it out, and what benchmarks can men use to stay on track? Today, Devin, Sam, and John discuss 6 categories that can help you focus on resisting worldly temptations and truly living your best life. This challenging episode lays out 6 P's as an examination of the soul that will shake up your preconceived notions, reminding us that 'Friendship with the world makes us an enemy of God.'

The ONLY Real Red Pill to Take
Переглядів 1,6 тис.21 день тому
There are only two options that you can take in this world. There is no divide or alternative option and you must choose. We hear politicians, preachers, self-help gurus, and influencers use the term “red-pill" all the time to refer to finally being awake to reality. But, perhaps we are not as awake and woke as we think we are. What if most of us are actually taking the blue pill daily? In toda...

Early in this video, Father points out how there are many churches now where one has to search to find Jesus in the tabernacle, because the tabernacle is hidden away. I would add that there are also churches where the confessional is not easy to locate. In some cases, one would only figure out where it is if the priest was going into it or if the line was where you could see it. Some parishes also have less than an hour of confessions per week. It's no wonder confessions are down if people don't see the confessionals in some cases and there are so few opportunities without scheduling time. Even if the confession line moves quickly (I'll estimate 4 minutes per confession for a quick line), that's no more than 15 per hour. I know a place that only has 30 minutes or less per week. Many people consider monthly confession to be a good guide for "regular" confession. That's once every 4 weeks or so, or an average demand on a priest of 1 minute per week (spreading that 4 minutes over 4 weeks to make the next math easy). So for every minute of confession time available per week, that's about the number of regular confessions one might get in the course of each month. So 30 minutes would mean about 30 confessions in a parish with over 1000 people. If priests increase confession times and people don't show up, they don't want to waste their time, so they can often go back to having less time again. But there needs to be an effort to promote confession. If the priest exits the confessional and sees a line of several people still waiting, THEN it is a good sign that adding time will be justified and used.

I believe that the belief in the real presence of the Eucharist is a lot higher (probably at least 75%) amongst weekly Mass goers. It should definitely be 100% though! The numbers dramatically decline with less Mass attendance. These Catholics are not following the rules of the Church by not attending at least weekly and on Holy days.

Target audience is men. Women can watch, but it might not help as much. The reason why this thing is made for men is because men and women have different problems (for societal, cultural and natural reasons), and therefore need different solutions and insights. If you look out there, there must be a Catholic podcast targeted at women which you could enjoy.

@@johantrenier1685 What you've said is the equivalent of saying that a clothing store is patriarchal because it has a male clothes sector. If you look a little bit around, you'll realize that this clothing store also sells female and children clothes and, in fact, it has clothes that fit and look good in everyone. The Church is like that clothing store.

For lay faithful one way to offer solution for Communion on tongue and reverence to "Holy Eucharist"is to do more "Eucharistic Adoration"...we need every lay Catholic to spend more time in the "Tabernacle"..imagine 100 lay Catholics doings "Eucharistic Adoration"..its very sad that only 1 or two in a day do this..as father donald calloway said the abandoned "Tabernacle"..we need to run everyday in "Eucharistic Adoration".

Being enlisted by Christ Jesus as commander is real. He'll ask you to walk in faith, not by sight, step by step (like St.Joseph's directives). You won't have a clue of what He's up to until you do, He sends back up to complete the mission he gives. He gives remarkable victories. He uses everything you have, every experience at His disposal. His ways are breathtaking, astonishing and unfathomable.

I never had a chance to marry someone and raise a family, the time passed me by, but I'm sure glad my dad taught me as a kid on the farm. He is/was a millwright and we lived on a farm dirt poor and my whole entire life has been fixing old machinery and welding/fabricating needed items. I'm rebuilding an old combine right now, and I find it quite satisfying to take an old derelict machine and breathe new life into it and give it another useful job. I work draft horses farming and logging, and also find it very satisfying, something symbiotic about working with my hands, and working with horses, and building the relationship, and the fields and woods. It is a 7 day a week job year round, I have no hired help or vacation days off. My away time is Sunday afternoon I go to the TLM and I try to avoid planned hard labour except chores. I'm content while working. Always appreciate Fr. Ripperger's thoughts.

First of all, you have to be *humble* enough to recognize the *fact* that being in communion with bishops who reject *The Way of The Crucified Christ: The Cross* is *Not* where The *Holy Sacrifice* of The Mass will be found. The *Priesthood* of *The Christ Crucified* is *Not* there, whereby you claim to have it. The Priesthood has been *removed* from what is called the "catholic" church or "orthodox" church and all in even the appearance of communion with them; in the *universal* religion of the false church rising. All are laymen in Novus Ordo or Tridentine, and every other church recognized by them and their political figures that control them. Pax Christi. JMJ.

I became both a father and mother to my children when my husband passed away leaving me at the age of 32 with three young children ages 5, 3 and special needs 18 months. Before we got married we had everything planned out we were going to have nine children. We made a promise to each other. they were all going to attend Catholic schools. I kept the promised even though it was very hard financially. my oldest son was 16 he decided he needed a car to drive himself to school which was 12 miles away. My response was. " do you know how to put a car?" he became upset with my question. I explained to him how much money he would save during his lifetime if he knew how to work on his car. The next day I called the community college and found out they had a program on mechanics and anyone over the age of 14 could attend. I registered both of my boys 15 and 16 years of age. 3 times a week I would pick them up at school and drive them to the Community College for mechanics lessons. On their 17th birthday still without a car I gave each one of them their own Craftsman tools. One of my sisters visit us one summer. She told them when you graduate from high school and register yourself for college I will give you your first car anything you want within a budget. My first born graduated from high school and received his graduation gift from my sister. He is now a very dedicated nurse. In an assistant living facility. About 10 years ago he became a Certified mechanic. My other son also graduated from high school the following year. However during his high school year he held three part-time jobs. He also received a vehicle from my sister as his graduation gift. He went on to college took some courses in law as soon as he turned 21 he started attending the police academy. he has already put in 25 years in law enforcement. He Is now a lieutenant and an excellent father. His children also attend Catholic School even though their mother is not Catholic. I never remarried and I don't regret it. I still have my special needs daughter living with me. I was able to do all that with the grace of God. My children always saw me involved with the church. I join the cursillo movement. I used to volunteer at their schools. As soon as both of my boys attended high school I went back to school. I made sure I always had a job with the same hours that they were attending school. I believe that your children are a reflection of you. you need to give them your best so they can keep on being on the right track. With God everything is possible. Viva Cristo Rey

Couple things guys at 24 minutes, from a man who's 50 now and whose earthly father left the house when I was 13. Before then, my father taught me the importance of doing good work and being responsible, but not how to fix stuff (because he never really learned either). So, after he left and I bought my first car, I learned on my own how to change the oil and check/gap the spark plugs. However, that was never really a confidence issue because of my basic knowledge, trust in my own brain, and knowing that if I messed it up then no one could yell at me or be disappointed (because they didn't depend on me for the car). When I got older, I carried that self-reliance with me, and the knowledge that I could always pay someone to fix my learning screwups if needed once I had the money to do so; and I also asked as many questions as professionals would tolerate so I could learn from them as well. The point being is that you learn as it comes, which include your learning lumps as well. Having said that, I'm still single without children because the women I've met after coming back to the Lord in my 30s don't appreciate those aspects of manhood. The confidence of knowing you'll either figure the problem out when it comes or pay someone if you can't or if you mess it up. They want everything NOW, and with precise, professional knowledge and get anxious and obnoxious when you don't comply. No living in the moment or taking things in stride when they come, and that's the mentality that prevails today. The girl bosses rule almost everything, and there's no place for grace amidst the weakness of learning or making mistakes as you go. Many of the older church women are like this too which is sad, because it's all just about power and control to them and that's what the up and coming men are contending with (all while seeing guys like me who resist it be alone with the Lord instead) Not a very inviting alternative when you're young and don't yet know how to be complete with the Lord whether you have a woman/wife or not. In Christ, Andrew
